Yesterday I spent a couple of hours perfecting Saturn. I reverted the rings from white to a darker color and changed the planet texture to bring out its natural colors more. To get such a texture I combined three separate global maps of Saturn and colorized it in some places.

The finished equirectangular map:

@Vampserginho They are there but you don't see them on the map

E cadê esse Saturno no sistema Solar 2.1 ?
A única coisa que tá faltando pra ficar perfeito são os anéis de Saturno que no 2.1 não tem

@pedro16797 I forgot about surface elevation feature in map view. I play the game on Android and I always turn it off.

@TRAPPIST1 it would look ok both in map view and from far away, the only problem is the atmosphere

@rockethelper It's already blue on the top. Compare the first image to the famous Cassini image of Saturn, the ring scale is correct.

Nice! If you added some blue on the top and made the rings a little larger then it'd be complete. But nice overall

you can do that to haumea because it doesn’t have a significant atmosphere

@HyperPatch Yeah, I know. Also on map and from far away it would look spherical. Its better to use sphere than buggy terrain exaggeration.

@TRAPPIST1 yes, Saturn and Jupiter look very odd in rss but that's just due to the game's limitations, you could squish it but that would make the atmosphere odd

Gas giants normally have a smaller polar radius than equatorial. There's no such a thing, but Saturn is squished significantly

    it REALLY is epic.
can't wait to try your next update!!
@HyperPatch in the meantime i figured out how to modify ATMO parameters so that your Earth atmosphere extend to 115 km with a realistic air density through layers
