This is how I' going to start systematically naming my rockets and crafts in order to keep an organized and consistent naming convention. I'm sharing it here just as a suggestion, do with it what you will. Feel free to adopt this as your own or ignore it totally.

Letter Components:
SR Sounding rocket
SU Sub Orbital rocket
SL Small lift Vehicle
ML Medium Lift Vehicle
HL Heavy Lift Vehicle
SHL Super Heavy Lift Vehicle
CS Commercial Satellite
RS Research Satellite
MS Military Satellite
RV Rover
M(XX) Manned
U(XX) Unmanned
X(XX) Experimental
CR Cargo
UC Reconnaissance
TR Transport (Personnel)

Numerology:
Craft designs are given a number based on the order they we created. Can count every type of craft or count each type of craft in a category seperately.

Variations:
Upgrades or variations of an existing design will be denoted with a greek letter of the alphabet, starting with Alpha.

Example:
A Heavy Lift Launch Vehicle that is the 15 craft I've made and the 3rd version of it would be called HL-15-Gamma.

Let me know what you think about this naming convention. Or don't your opinions won't affect what I do with this in any meaningful way.

I like the double letter to help signify an acronym, maybe RV for rover to fit the sequence

it’s good, but I doubt everyone here knows the Greek alphabet from memory.

Also, I like this one by caleb001: https://www.simplerockets.com/Forums/View/92569/Rocket-Naming-Scheme
