I spawn my little lander in to test it, and then each time the legs hit ground it just bounces, does a bunch of flips, hits ground again, bounces, and the process repeats.
I thought you said you fixed the landing legs.

    There is no RCS, and no gyro, plus I started grounded @Dereric

    Do you have powerful RCS/Gyro on your lander? They can, specially with powerful ones, make a craft bouncy after the touchdown. I think you locked the heading retrograde when you land, you can try to unlock the heading direct after touchdown.

    I already tried that @SamTheFox

    they did fix the landing legs
    you just gotta do some stuff with the settings in the landing legs, they have damper settings

    it's like it's on a hot plate, right? as soon as one leg hits the ground it bounces back. that puts more pressure on the other legs so they bounce back but with more vigor. Then pretty soon it gets so violent it tips the whole lander over! I finally just retracted the legs and let it rest on its engine nozzle and it settled down.

    Not really @SamTheFox, just bounces a hole lot.

    Yeah I had similar issue with the new piston legs. 100% length, auto suspension, 25% target compression & 100% damper. they never settled down just jittered around increasing in intensity until eventually flipping the probe over. I figured I just need to play around with the settings a bit but it's a bit disappointing since I never had an issue with the old legs and now with the "improved" ones I'm going to have to spend extra time an energy to find the right settings.

    @GrandmasterPotato
    I think GSpace means the slow motion, and he is right, the legs and the slow motion are not the best friends. Even a landet craft jumps when you set the time mode to slow motion.

    But let's come back to your problem, do you have the bouncing problem with all landing legs, the old and the new ones? If yes, can you give us your leg settings (damper, spring, ...) please?

    I don’t even have the option for negative speed @GSpaceAeronauticle

    @GSpaceAeronauticle Do not use the stability modifier.

    Are you doing this in -2 speed cause negative speeds on time warp can sometimes cause a problem and make a craft bounce around a bit. Also maybe the stability modifier might help.
