Simple Rockets should have interstellar travel since after you explore one system, what's next? Getting a mod for a new system. It would be easier if you could travel to another system in one save/program. Even if its a "Interstellar travel" DLC, it still be a great addition.

@Sonofbigdog Should be as simple as hitting the download button and running the executable if you're on PC. The downloaded file will automatically open SR2 and download the relevant files. If you're on mobile, it's the same thing, but you don't have to open the executable in your files. Once it's downloaded, you need to start a new game with the planet pack selected.

@sacr3dbac0n0 wonder how they did it, and how do you download planetary systems?

@LenatezSpaceAgency2 didnt say it have to cost something, could be a free DLC. And if it was a DLC, it would be so the game storage doesn't go through the roof

@ZimpelRaum Voyager probes are not interstellar capable and were not remotely designed for an interstellar transfer. You need to go much faster.

@sacr3dbac0n0 I wonder how long would it take for our most advanced interstellar-capable spacecrafts such as the Voyager probes to reach these stars.

Me on maximum time warp waiting for my interstellar probe to reach Teegarden's Star:
    - Did homework
    - Touched grass
    - Became successful in life through God
    - Got a GF
    - Got married
    - Had kids
    - Raised kids
    - Kids become successful, fulfilled, faithful, and productive people
    - Dies a happy death without diseases or any illnesses/conditions which come from old age
    - Probe finally reaches Teegarden's Star after a morbillion minutes
    - Descendants continue work
    - Repeat

It is already here, with real distances. New update coming soon with four additional stars and more planets. Van Maanen's Star, Teegarden's Star, 61 Cygni, and Epsilon Indi. Thats 15 star systems, over 100 planets to explore including the solar system all within 15 ly.
