Are parachutes weaker in the latest version? I deploy them at about 200m/s and they still break. Any advice?

you need to deploy small drouge chutes, and then deploy larger parachutes, and if you need to go slower, add a massive final parachute

use the fuel you have to spare to slow down i guess
but i think just below the terminal velocity of droo is a healthy speed to deploy the chutes
