The engines in the space shuttle is probably meant for above atmosphere conditions, I will probabably be the one who’s going to send at least a box train to mars, and people think that the space shuttle is a moon rocket, but it is not. (Buran Probably could)

Well the Shuttle did hitch a ride when going into orbit as it had the large external tank and the two solid rocket boosters.
And its tiny OMS will never get it to the Moon.

@tsampoy well no the shuttle has 2 sets of engines on set for accent and the other for in-orbit-maneuvers they could fly it with some adjustments and less fuel for suborbital hops
