Communism, an exclusively far-left ideology, is tolerated to a suspicious extent.
Multiple users seem to deny proven information such as the Tiananmen Square Massacre.

Extremism should not be tolerated on this website.

There is a rule for this:
“Please, remember that this is a game about rockets. While we do allow off-topic conversations in the forums, if you talk about religion or politics then there is a good chance that your post will be removed. Especially if we feel that it is likely to stir up debate.”

Are you repudiating communism? (I'm not debating politics)

@Renamed20230216 I'm not really sure what you mean, can you elaborate?

This forum has been plagued by ccp for years. You bring it up, you catch a ban. Some of the mods are most likely ccp shills.

@ImWorld Please, don't escalate things. That discussion is over. If you feel you are being treated poorly by somebody, please report the offending post, block them, and move on.

We do our best to keep political debates off of this site, as I assure you they are against our rules. However, we are human beings that moderate this site in our spare time, and as such some things will inevitably slip through the cracks (especially post comments). The best way to help keep it to a minimum is to use the report button on posts you believe are in violation of our rules, as this is guaranteed to bring them to our attention.

But with that being said, it's important to understand that we cannot — and should not — stop all discussion of political subjects. There may be some event that affects real-life aerospace programs, or negatively impacts some portion of the playerbase, or just some mild reference to a political figure, event, or ideology. Whatever the case may be, sometimes it's just healthier for the community to allow certain discussions (with measures taken to make sure they are otherwise following the site rules), as being too overzealous with removing them can cause un-needed frustration for everybody involved. Again, though, please do use the report button when you think something isn't appropriate for the site.

I have something to say on that.
Firstly, communism comes in multiple flavours, and not all of them have to be extreme. It’s like saying a firecracker is the same thing as a tank. That doesn’t mean the tanks are not still out there. No more politics from this point on, but I just felt I should point that out. Sorry.
Secondly, you are absolutely correct that politics should be completely left out of a space game community. However, forcibly silencing this or any kind of conversation will only anger people to eleven. I have seen it before and I do not want to see it again. It needs to be based on the community mindset, not the words of a select few who, in their defence, run the place. I do believe that your post bringing attention to this is a good start, but we need to be careful how we proceed from here.
I’m still gonna give an updoot because I do agree with the sentiment, but I strongly advise you to consider what I have said.
