"Commercial Pilot" contract this time, total Deja Vu from Research Station Supply, but now it's 1200 km instead of 10. Almost an hour of flying at x3 time warp, just to find out that there's no place to land, and dropping doesn't work as it destroys the container.
What's the point of giving missions with zero critical information upfront ? How can I possibly prepare, if I have no idea what I'll be facing ? Every time accepting the contract is like jumping into a muddy water. There's no detailed terrain map even. Every new mission requires blind acceptance and a test launch to find out the task's very basics like cargo weight, distance, landing / drop off options. It's a failure by design, impossible to get done without QUICKSAVE and/or UNDO, which are basically a cheating. I hate to use them, but have no choice, because all the critical information needs to be discovered in try-and-see manner, and the cost of multiple attempts quickly goes through the roof.
And I'm not even talking about a bucket of physics bugs and limitations which regularly consume more time and efforts than solving the primary task.
Seems the gameplay in RC branch needs a bit of an overhaul. Detailed contract data, missions updated to mitigate physics bugs, tools for analyzing and testing vehicles before actual launch. Bring chance of success up, and cost of failure down. Then perhaps UNDO / QUICKSAVE could be removed completely.
