i have Been trying to build some planes with good variable Sweep wings for the b-1 f-14 f-11 Mig 23 Etc and i just can figure it out because it seems no matter what i do either when the wings are all the way back or when they are all the way forward the plane behaves strangely. thank you Xander619

Of course, for you are altering the position of the centre of lift. This dramatically changes how the plane’s aerodynamics work. Variable sweep is funky like that, so the plane necessarily must function at both extremes. Whichever position is more useful more often should be set as the default sweep.
