A Russian rocket named the Soyuz attempted to carry NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin to the ISS.
After a couple minutes of flight the Soyuz suffered a major failure in the rocket’s booster. The failure set the rocket onto a re-entry course.
The astronauts landed safely and were picked up by a search and rescue team. This just goes to show that space flight is still very dangerous today.
