why space shuttle wings airplanes cant take off???

so i was making a space shuttle and i needed to test if can glide, so i put some temporary engines in the right position and when i started to roll up i couldnt pull up and i crashed to ali 10L runway wall :(

Question is: how can i make planes like space shuttle (with 2 main wings and a vertical wing) make fly?

I NEED ANSWERS PLS ;-;
