Howdy
It’s the second edition of SR2 Weekly.
Explosions
Yet another interesting Blog Post by Andrew on monday outlined the future of bangs in SR2. The outcome made the users on the website excited. Some good eyed users noticed a problem with the terrain in the backround that turned out to be a shock wave. “How detailed!”
Release Date!
Also in the explosions blog post , the release date for Steam Early Access was made clear… (unless they have more slippages) … Black liquorice, Yes, First week of November . This was announced in this Paragraph: “Also, I should probably mention something about schedule (I know my fellow devs love when I talk about the S-word). We are not going to be launching in October and we are now most likely going to be launching in early November. Please, don't send me any black licorice. I have already purchased some and will be munching on it soon. Sorry for the slippage, but thanks for sticking with us! We hope it will be worth the wait!”
Website Problems
You may have noticed that the website in the last few weeks has been going down. Other problems have included problems with forums and uploading craft in SP. The going down part is due to the Websites Service provider having problems. The issue should be fixed soon.
The IFPD is back
User Bmcclory has brought back a military group from when the website first came out. Here is what his post Said: A bunch of military groups were created after the abandonment of the IFPD, so I decided we needed a rebranding.
It is now known as the
Smearth Interplanetary Postal Service, or SIPS for short.
Now you might be thinking to you self,
“Well Bmcclory that doesn’t sound like a space defence force at all.”
Well you’d be right!
The IFPD still exists, but only creates Bombs, missiles, station parts, kinetic bombardment weapons, etc. The difference is now being everything is being delivered by SIPS, rather than the IFPD spending money on rockets, they just have to pay for shipping!
