Anti-aliasing/rendering the game at a higher resolution

I was wondering if there's any way to make edges as clean as possible, since after testing MSAAx8 yields the best results, but it still doesn't look the greatest on a 1080p monitor.
Usually to get around this issue I set the resolution in game up to something like 2880x1680, which JNO offers that setting, but it won't let me enable assumably due to it being how the fullscreen works?
I also know about Nvidia control panel settings which I've tinkered with but it didn't provide much of a difference.
Is there a way to make the games anti aliasing better, or render higher that I am not aware of?
