Booster 2 during a cryogenic loading test JANUARY 4TH
On January 27th, Booster 2 attempted a 200 meter hover test to demonstrate the flight systems for Fusion Two/Three; unfortunately, during the ascent, Engine One suffered a catastrophic failure, resulting in the destruction of the vehicle before it could attempt the hover. We believe there is a fault in the Aeolus V1.0 engines, and we are currently investigating the problem so that the same does not happen with Aeolus V1.5
