If you haven’t heard, the mars helicopter ingenuity, has met its final flight at flight 72. The flight was going nominally until the small aircraft lost connection, and once the helicopter had regained contact it revealed that 25% of both rotor blades had been destroyed, thus proving that ingenuity would no longer be able to fly.
Ingenuity had exceeded the amount of flight expected. There had been 5 planned flights to prove that flight was possible on mars but ingenuity was able to complete 72 flights.
Ingenuity hold the record for the first aircraft to fly on another planet and first flight to be delayed by weather on another planet.
May ingenuity rest in piece on the Martian surface.
