I've made some tests to estimate the recover cost, and it seems to be around 0.20 $ /Kg/Km . so 1 ton craft at 500km distance would cost .2 x 500 x 1000 = 100,000 $ that would be deducted from the value of the craft itself. Also for that same example, each Kg would cost 100$, so if you have a component that has a value of less than 100$ and you can get rid off, then do it. namely, fuel, just burn it before recovery. and that brings the question, when will SR add a fuel dump option ??

that's true for rockets as they devour fuel like a hungry beast, however for planes that may take hours, so baring in mind all the sophisticated options added in this simulator, a fuel dump option is just an insignificant effort. at least for planes.

    Semantics ….
I wouldn’t expect any such feature because
    .
    1. It’s not terribly difficult to build/fuel your stage with the proper amount of propellant you need (just a tiny bit extra as reserve).
    .
    2. If you do wish to discard excess propellant you can simply burn it during the return phase.

No they don't, engines burn fuel, not dump or jettison it.

They do. It’s called an engine!
