This June, we have launched 2 Maya Missions! The first Block 5 configuration was launched June 07, 2024 carrying 5 OmegaLink satellites to LEO.

All ascent profile were met, not until boostback where the fuel on the first stage sloshed, causing the Flight Termination System to trigger and the Booster experienced Vehicle Unscheduled Retirement or VUR.

After the loss of booster, teams quickly applied changes to our first Maya Heavy! It carried @ZastenX ObSat-1 Planet Observation Satellite, to Low Moon Orbit and is currently cruising the Earth-Moon trajectory.

In this mission, we removed all recovery equipments such as landing legs, and the hypersonic fins on the side boosters.

We attempted a soft water splashdown for the core stage, however the fuel once again sloshed causing an engine to shutdown prematurely. This led to a hard land impact near the Bicol Region in the Philippines.

Future boosters will have a better baffles to mitigate the issue obtained from the two Block 5 flights.

WE ARE ACCEPTING PAYLOAD LAUNCH SERVICES IN JNO!

Although Maya Block 5 is still experimental, we can launch using expendable Maya 4 for 100% launch success rate! Join our discord server here to learn more!

We use a modified RSS planetary system for these webcasts thanks to the authors!
