Planet Studio Basics I

Introduction to Planet Studio and Making Simple (or not) Terrain

To go to Planet Studio (also known as PS), go to the in-game settings (via the single gear icon, click the controls button, click the button with the three dots at the top right, press “Open Dev Console”, type “PlanetStudio”, then you can be able to access Planet Studio. Then you will proceed to choose the blank template to start making terrain on it
.
To make simple (or not) terrain, click the button with the two mountains icon, then you will see all passes and its noise modifiers. In either the Biomes Pass, Height Pass, or any of the Height Biomes Pass’ subpasses (including the Height Final Pass), press the button with the plus icon then you will find all sorts of modifiers. Find the “Noise” modifier then press the Add button. Find another modifier called Generate Height and add it below the “Noise” modifier. Find the Update Height modifier and add it below the Generate Height modifier. For the “Noise” modifier, the noise type will be Perlin Fractal, the noise frequency to 2, the noise strength to 1, and the octaves to 10. For the Generate Height modifier, set the Min Height to -5000, and the Max Height to 6000. And then you get pretty simple terrain.
.
This is my first PS tutorial ever made. Tell me if theres any mistake I in this tutorial

Also: You can use a basic arithmetic instead of generate height. Set the operation to A * C, then set the value to some higher than 1000. The higher the value, the higher and stronger the terrain is. Lastly, like a generate height modifier, place this right about the update height. This is a great alternative to generate height, but you have less control.
