So I have a lot of ideas some in my head others already sketched out or in progress. But most of them either end up scrapped or never make it off the drawing board. I imagine this is normal and I know why I scrap most (usually due to things like In game limits or Difficulty in making the craft look acceptable). So currently I'm working on a SS, a Docking port (IDSS), some satellites and a few other things.
I find it very challenging to get inspiration for projects that are realistic to make. Sometimes I get an idea for say an innovative booster–I usually end up scrapping it since there's not enough In real life Things close to it which then leads me to not being able to get it to look good.
So my question is how to you get inspiration for crafts that don't exist in real life. Idk if that's just me but I don't manage to make it look good unless there's an at least rough "blueprint" I can build of off. So how do you do it??
Thanks for reading and answering, have a Great day!
Usually, when I have an idea for something new, I’ll try to find the closest thing to it in real life. You dig deep enough and there is always something similar, no matter how crazy it is
