The year is 2379. After the events of "Nemesis" Starfleet is once again recovering from its losses. The exploration of the Alpha and Beta quadrants of the Galaxy continue. Starfleet, having observed the versatile nature of the starship "Voyager", following it's return from the Delta quadrant, has refitted the intrepid class starships for long range space exploration.
One such refitted vessel, is the U.S.S. "Olympia" NCC-89071. It's on a scientific mission to the outskirts of the Alpha Quadrant, to seek new life and new civilizations.
