PROJECT PHOBOS - Directory 1A,
PHASE 1:
Project Phobos is the first of many projects under Operation: Serpentine, ExplorerCo.'s undying mission to establish a self-sufficient colony on Cylero. Project Phobos is the first step in making a base on Cylerian soil.
Step 1:
ExplorerCo. engineers are to design a rocket, the Phoenix, which will carry a satellite meant to photograph the surface of Cylero at proposed spots for bases. Phoenix will either make a gravitational slingshot around the Moon or make a direct trip, which would be more exact, but much more
expensive.
Step 2:
A modified version of the Phoenix, the ATR-9, will be constructed in order to send a number of small, specialized modules, such as a generator, wind turbine , crew quarters, comms satellite, and a workstation with a 3D Printer.
Step 3:
A small space station, SPS-35, will be established in Cylerian orbit, and will act as an easier way to get supplies to the surface. SPS-35 will be manned, and will also have small pods that can be used to send down supplies to the Cylerian colonies, so the unmanned supply ships don't have to land.
Step 4:
The first surface mission will be an unmanned vessel to the Cylerian surface. The rocket, Athena, will have a landing module, which will have a rover and transportation vehicle. The rover will construct some of the modules, allowing a manned mission to be possible.
