I'm a total noob but I love this game. Decided to push Low Flyer (tutorial) as far as I can. Max I got after 3 days was 312km and this video is just a random try. I built this contraption, stitched some wings and watched vertical speed...
What can I improve exactly assuming I don't want to increase it's mass and complexity for too much?

230km achieved. How do I modify (without tinker panel) my simple rocket to go further, but not above 5km? Can I modify maybe wings, tank sizes or engines somehow? If so - why that's better?

Please, could anyone answer me somehow? ;) I just wanted to learn something from all you pros about engine optimization, aerodynamics and stuff. I've fiddled with engines but I struggle to get past 400km.
