Heres a sneak peak at my latest design. A Falcon 9 Crew Dragon.
The model features a Strongback with hold down clamps. The strong back retracts 15° on lift off. There is a crew access arm that attaches to the launch tower then to dragons crew access hatch. This can rotate away from the spacecraft before launch. The Falcon 9 First Stage is fully controllable and landable with working grid fins. The second stage features a MVacD engine. Crew dragon spacecraft has solar panels covering the underside of the trunk and Nadir fins. The model is powered by 8 SuperDraco thrusters and 12 Draco engines for orbital maneuvers. The top of crew dragon features a nose cone that opens up to reveal a docking port meaning this will make a great addition to my Internation Space Station.
The model also features an ABORT system which will pull Crew Dragon free from the main rocket in the event of an emergency.
Below is a short video of the model lifting off from Launch Complex 69a at SSR HQ.
