I install sr2 on my laptop and it runs fine until I click launch. It puts me in space with nothing but the nav sphere and no matter what I do thats all I get. No rocket, no earth, nothing but empty space and a nav sphere. And ideas?

Try downloading and installing the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017. Direct link: https://aka.ms/vs/15/release/vc_redist.x64.exe.

When you click launch, go to task manager on windows and check your CPU. If the CPU is just about maxed out, that is why it is doing it. I have had the same problem while testing a small gaming machine.
