Beginning of Project Timeline+Project Information
”Cave Johnson here- Allow me to introduce... The multiverse! Infinite Earths, with an infinite number of Apertures. And as of now, THEY are gonna take over all test chamber construction- and more importantly, all PAYING for test chamber construction.” -Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative
Okay, so if the title didn’t hint you into why I’m making this post, basically I want to make Portal-style test chambers in SR2, and I’m going to start uploading Portal testing elements for others to make their OWN test chambers with! That’s it. The initiative will include these test elements from Portal:
-Panels
-Test Doors
-Vital Apparatus Vents
-Spike Plates
-Heavy-Duty Super-Colliding Super Button
-Cameras
-Edgeless Safety Cube Receptacle
-Cube
-Companion Cube
-Edgeless Safety Cube
-Victory Lift
-High Energy Pellet
-Unstationary Scaffold
-Aerial Faith Plate
-Sentry Turret
-Defective Turret
-Animal King Turret
-Prima Donna Turret
-Rocket Turret
-Frankenturret
-Hard Light Bridge
-And Possibly More!
Soon you’ll be able to make stuff like this:
In SimpleRockets 2!
All testing element sub-assemblies will be compatible and interconnectable with each other, and many mechanical parts will take advantage of Vizzy.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to replicate all testing elements from Portal, like the gels and the infamous portal gun- unless I learn how to mod. I’m gonna see if I can find a way to make these test chambers work without them. Portal without the portals!
I’m going to release each testing element one at a time, and this may take me over a year to complete. Wish me luck, and remember; The future starts with YOU!
Warning: Readers may suffer from terminal confusion of this post due to lack of playing Portal games. If you or a loved one are experiencing these symptoms, seek help immediately- A medical professional can prescribe Portal to you immediately.

UPDATE: Concept Test Chamber WIP
So far I have completed the Super Button, Basic Panels and Tiles, and mechanical tiles.
Panels, tiles and all other structural parts snap together through a “Lego brick-like” system using girders and struts.
Panels, doors and alike will be programmed through Vizzy. The player will interact with the test through a first-person playable character.
