SimpleRockets2 is already a good game, but there are a few tweaks that would be seriously exciting to see made:
1. Bi, Tri, and Quad adapters
Allow you to turn one end into 2, 3, or 4! Works well for attaching multiple engines. on one spot without the hassle.
RCS engines consume WAY too much monopropellant.
Making a slider for fuel consumption and/or flat out making them consume less fuel will save me from putting several tons of monoprop on a rocket I’m trying to keep lightIon engines
I know they’re designed to be “low power and very efficient engines,” but they produce almost no thrust. I have 35 of them on one rocket (using an infinite fuel tank that weighs 0 pounds) but even after ages of burning at full thrust I only sped up by like 4 meters/sec.Planets
The planets look stunning (especially Urados), but that’s not the point. When I take a look at the map, it looks too sparse or dry. New planet analogs such as Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Neptune (maybe a dwarf planet of some sort) would be SO COOL to get to and explore.Science experiments
I’m currently working on a plane that is designed to fly around for long periods of time and gather valuable data. Problem is, there’s no data to gather. Experiments such as a Thermometer, Seismometer, Barometer, and Hygrometer would give my landers, rovers, and even planes some purpose other than looking cool.Power sources
RTGs, fuel cells, you know. All the good stuff. Solar panels charge too slow, and batteries are heavy. The more solar panels I add on, the laggier the game gets. Having a metric crap ton on RTGs on one craft would not only look like a space porcupine, but would be more efficient at generating powerDifferent types of cockpits and/or passenger bays
Self explanatoryEVA
I know this is already in question, but I’m just supporting the cause.Dedicated booster separating rockets
I know you could just fool around with SRBs, but that’s too much work. I know you can relate.Atmospheric entry/re-entry fire
Self explanatoryHaving the sun not be a 2 dimensional disk in the sky (in space)
Having the sun be a sphere instead of a 2D pixelated disk would give me a lot more reasons to use it as a cheese grater for rockets.
Things on this list may be added/taken away in the future depending on updates. I’m not trying to sound demanding, (and I know making a game takes s* tons of time), so don’t judge.
(and if you want planets try ESS and simplegalaxy if your on android or pc it will work there)
