For many people in the community this might be an important question because they might want a way to secure a vehicle into a cargo plane, or make terrain for vehicles to work on. In my case I’m making a literal air strip out of fuel tank parts to allow a vehicle to refuel with a docking port. Any help to make gripping on fuel tanks possible, or any other material that can be used?

I use hinges and fuel tanks/struts. Example
    Used KraZIvan's A400M and pedro16797's Tesla Roadster

@Bmcclory That’s what I was thinking in that application, but when you scale it up to an airstrip, a vehicle would need a jet engine to move around a frictionless surface like a super thin fuel tank.
