@Thederpingmemes for most game releases, the money used to make the game is made up for in the release week, this is known as the payload threshold, if you were to make it free for even 2 days, it could delay the payload threshold to 15 days, rather than a usual 7, what could be done instead is to reduce the price to 50% for the release day, this would only delay the payload threshold to 9-10 days, rather than 15 days

It would be good for consumers, but then further development of the game would be affected greatly.

No, they need to make some money, the development for this game has taken hundreds (I think) of manhours and those ppl need to be paid, not to mention the cost of the websites and keeping the game on stores

Its called early access / beta, which will be available, but I don't know if it will be a free one. I imagine if it costs money, we won't have to pay for it again when the game is released

Maybe the sevs will release like some free steam codes and whoever gets one gets sr2 free
@Thederpingmemes minecraft was a well established game before it was released for xbox, and it wasn't a first release, that and it was owned by microsoft, a massive corporation, no-longer by an indie development company, as for price reduction after release, that depends on 2 things, 1; is the game doing good enough to warrant a thank you to the community in the form of lowering the price. and 2; does the producing company plan on such.
