Hi everyone,
First up, I'm really sorry that development has been happening at such a slow pace since the 3.0 announcement. While some progress has been made, there's still a lot to be done. I'm not here to tell sob stories, but I wont lie -- the last few months have been a very difficult time for me.
That said, I want to get the motivation back into delivering a fun patch for all you wonderful people. You mean so much to me and Pedro, thank you for all the support and kindness yall have shown through the development of ESS.
My current goal is to get Orcus, the 2nd large moon of Urados completed. The main inspiration for this moon is Triton, so expect some interesting colours and an atmosphere a bit thicker than Frigios'. There might just be enough for aerobraking! Currently, the biome mapping and basic colour palette have been completed, so its mostly the terrain that needs finishing.
Once that's done, the main tasks are completing Taurus (Pedro's baby, the Titan clone), and the final mini-moons. I would like to see a release in March, so fingers crossed it shouldn't be more than 5 or 6 weeks until the full release.
I would like to see a closed alpha test for 3.0 at some point, if any of our ESS plebs are interested in trying out a couple of moons please let me know in the comments or on discord. (JastroOne1#3099)
Also, if anybody has any suggestions, requests or recommendations please share in the comments!
@Rizkyman The shapes are the best I could make in order to have the launch site near the ocean, it's procedurally generated, so you can't just paint any shape.
imo the continents are realistic enough, but I'm clearly biased.
