Guys how do i convert velocity of target from pci coordinates to numbers I'm on the verge of making a missile?

Edit:🤦???... i had no idea this was called the magnitude or length of a vector, and also had no idea what a vector was haha

    lateral velocity=lv
    vertical velocity=vv
    speed=sqrt((lvlv)+(vvvv))
    Am I right?

    @sflanker i found the lenght thanks but i am really working towards making interception i already have time to target,velocity of target and distance to target already in numbers (i mean actuall m/s,seconds etc) )but i am trying to piece it together do you have any formulae anything would be helpfull?

    What do you mean, "to numbers?" You have a vector, do you want its length? Its x, y, and z components? Do you mean you want to plot an intercept course in heading & pitch based on your position, your target's position, and your target's velocity?

    If you want length or x/y/z components there is an expression that takes a vector and has a drop down that defaults to length, that's the one you want.
