So if you can understand what I mean, whenever I want to place two engines on my upcoming Boeing Starliner I do what you are supposed to do: place a fuel adapter on the preferred part and then mirror it to Radial 2. But instead whenever I place the fuel adapter on it and go to symmetry, it says it must be connected to the SIDE of a rocket. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Also, this has been happening to me for a while now. For at least 3 months, whenever I enter the atmosphere, The heat shield gets to like over 1500 Celsius, but it doesn’t burn up? At least not on my iPad, whenever I re-enter the atmosphere on my iPhone, it burns up. Strange, have any suggestions on why this is happening?

connect fuel adapter to side of tank, doesnt matter where. use symetry, add engine, then bump/rotate/move into position

@Insanity it isn’t connected to the bottom node so it should be a bug or something 🤔

@Insanity I want to put more than one engine on the bottom of the tank, like e.g. second stage has two or three engines.

About the placement problem, make sure that the fuel adapter is connected to the surface of the fuel tank and not the bottom node, or symmetry won't work.

@ItsSimpleWhenYouRule maybe to help ad a small rocket moter on the craft and fire it during reentry to slow the heating
-
@Dogfish5550 maybe but whenever I re-enter at the same velocity while on my phone it does

The heat shield might be about to explode but cools down before it can.

Don’t worry the problem was resolved just a bug.
