Is there a way to delete the sample rockets?

I want to delete the sample rockets because my list is of saved rockets are getting bigger and bigger and the samples kinda get in the way however, I cannot do so because the samples keep on coming back after i delete them. I tried deleting the xml files and even the back up files however, they just keep on coming back.
