So I was building my best creation I’ve ever built it took me 5 hours to build and I finally finished it yesterday but I didn’t save it since usually when I get back into the game it is just open. This was a huge mistake when I went to download a craft I realized that the the plane I had spent my day making yesterday was lost forever and I am truly angry and there is nothing I can do about it. So yeah this sucks.

This event has actually made me consider quitting playing this game for a while because I am so frustrated I spent so much time and patience on that plane all for nothing.

@Bwad34 I'm with you. I've lost multiple crafts and Vizzy programs and each time I have to take a break to get back into it. An autosave feature would be so nice, especially on mobile where the app restart rules are a bit random.
I couldn't find a suggestion for this in the forums, so I went ahead and created one HERE.

I'm pretty sure you can press the back button after you downloaded a craft to get back to the old craft. I'm assuming it doesn't work after you've closed the game since downloading/opening a new craft though.

I don't suppose you are on a Mac with Time Machine enabled? I you were you could look at previous versions of your com.jundroo.SimpleRockets2/UserData/CraftDesigns/__editor__.xml file to see if you can recover a version of your unsaved craft from before it was overwritten by the downloaded craft.

I feel your pain, I think it would be a good idea for SR2 to warn you 1) before exiting the editor without actually saving your craft, 2) warn you when downloading a craft that you are about to lose unsaved changes if the __editor__.xml file has changed since the last save. Feel free to link a suggestion and I will upvote.
