I don’t know completely the right choice of these two space games, but KSP has cockpits with a cockpit view, meaning that SimpleRockets 2 players must make their own cockpits with cockpit view.
KSP is more about the gameplay, with a campaign and science mode to progress through. SR2 is a better simulator, with stunning graphics, and a slight edge in physics modeling. Also SR2 is cheaper and more available. Personally I say it is tough to say, I like both games, but when SR2 gets campaign mode, it will definitely get the upper hand.
From the looks ofnit ksp is still better especialy ksp 2 but i can see this game has some really big potencial to it if yoi ask me though this game has alot of things that ksp doesnt have especialy the ease To make rockets you dont even need that much mods to make this game good not like ksp but over-all i still love ksp but if there ever an update that could change the whole ksp vs simplerockets 2 thing ill just have too see it myself and aslo if this comment offensed you for some reason i dont hate ksp and simplerockets 2 even though i like ksp more im getting really hype lately because of this game but i dont hate either of the 2 games i just love it on how it is
I have both of them, they are beautifully equal in their way. But SR2 have better game engine. If SR2 has a career mode, story mode, research mode, crew exchange over docking, futuristic engine, more default celestial body, easter egg, presurized cabin, procedural generated cockpit, cabin, food, fuel generator & mining, economic simulation, an another aesthetic thing. It would beat the KSP!
I love SR2 KSP is $40 and Orbiter is free but SR2 offers great customization for a great price. I still play Orbiter every now and then though since it's pretty much a near perfect simulator.
SimpleRockets 2 pros: nearly unlimited customization (at least after the suggestions functions for planet studio are released for mobile).
-Knowing every statistic known to rocket science
-easy to mod parts (including Tinker Panel) due to extensive use of XML
-a rocket scientist’s KSP(also a con if you’re looking for a lighthearted game like KSP for mobile; but the droonauts are a pretty goofy addition especially when they’re given the most swaggered names in the universe.)
@Vanillavehcompany Yeah but you can download RSS which is 1:1 scale
The reason KSP and SR2's planets are 1:10 scale (I think thats the scale), is to make it easier to play.
@Doublehsh I think in some aspects KSP is more real than SR2. For example you can recover your vessel. Also there’s comets and asteroids.RTGs. Different command pods and multi wheel chassis. But KSP has no customisation at all
I like both, but I think KSP is easier to keep going. SimpleRockets 2 gets boring after a while, and I forgot SR2's controls (probably because I'm using Blender)
@PorkyClown3 With the introduction of the planet builder and such, SR2 is very much about exploring just as much as building which I think is quite awesome.

@CodeCaptain I think you meant kerbles.
edit: damn autocorrect!
Way more to do and the player or creator gets more creative leeway on sr2.. plus sr2 has more device compatibility from Droid to pc..

Depends on your device

I love SR2 It is $12 while ksp is $40

@Doublehsh well, Juno system also isn’t real scaled
@Qwertyuiop88 At least they release a new and cool update monthly ;)
@Vanillavehcompany You're right. I think if SR2 gets things like that, it will be better than KSP. I actually meant the planets and the Kerbals :)

I’ll always choose SR2, KSP is too unreal
This is a really big question

KSP is more in the exploration while SR2 is more about the building
