Basically every spaceplane i build cant reach space, can somebody tell me some useful tips for building spaceplanes SSTO's?

@Vanillavehcompany i meant to put small engines on the bottom of the plane so it can land vertically, rcs thrusters are ok?

@f18effect use rocket engines? Luna has lower gravity than Droo and so it’s not a big problem to land on Luna with TWR on Droo lower than 1. Also u will burn fuel through the flight, so when you arrive to orbit TWR will be 1 or bigger already

@Vanillavehcompany i knew about the twr lower than 1,thanks for the help but if i want to make it land vertically on planets without an atmosphere (like luna) what engines i use?

Try to use aero spikes. Maybe staged combustion, it gives great thrust and isp. Also don’t worry if TWR at sl is too low (like 0.8). It’s okay, because you will fly SSTO not like rocket (straight up) but more like plane - pitch to 30-45° and wait for time for gravity turn. Remember add gyroscope or/and RCS thrusters because you need to get back home. Check center of lift and centre of mass when space plane is fully fuelled and without any fuel and payload

@EnceladusDynamics ok, thank you, if still someone has some tips to tell just tell them so i will be happy

@f18effect oh I thought that you attempted to get to orbit using solely jet engines, you can use both but rockets are the more viable option

@EnceladusDynamics yes but most of the sstos spaceplanes i built use rocket engines for space and jet engines for atmosphere so i mean that i have to put only rocket engines?

@f18effect jet engines only work in atmosphere, same go for Aerospikes.

Add more fuel, and engine wise give it a Full Flow Staged Methalox Apex engine with full throat size and an Alpha nozzle.
@f18effect no, RCS too weak
