    Not sure if this is your problem, but when you are close to the moon (in its SOI, so I think less than 41,000 km) you have to burn retrograde for a little bit until your orbit circles around the moon instead of being a line. That will make your orbit stay around the moon, instead of going back to droo.

    @Bmcclory like for example I make the orbit go to the moon and I just keep going into another orbit.
