I don't know if I should post this as a bug or a suggestion in order for devs to read it.

In the xml parameters the rotation period is there for us to change, but not the translation period. I assume it's calculated by the game using the masses, but I would like to be sure on how it's done.

    @PhilipTarpley Thanks :)

    @pedro16797 Sorry for the delay. Yes, you're correct. The mass that is important for our calculations is the mass of the body being orbited. We do not consider the mass of the orbiting body as that is assumed to be insignificant in relation to the body being orbited.

    @PhilipTarpley and for satellites it takes planet size/surface gravity into account or just semi-major axis?

    You can't directly change the orbital period of a planet to a certain value, unfortunately. It is dictated by how "large" the orbit is...aka it's semi-major axis. The closer it is to the sun, the shorter it's orbital period will be.

    @PhilipTarpley yes, the time it takes for a body to turn around it's relative 1 time (like Droo around the Sun or Luna around Droo).
    Would it be possible to have a xml attribute for this?

    Are you referring to planets and their motion? That is changed via the orbital elements which are stored as attributes on the <Orbit /> element.
