iPad and mouse issues

Hey guys, I noticed a mouse list in the controls options which is awesome but, I can't seem to get it to pick up any input when I'm trying to map it.
I'm using a 6th gen iPad on iOS 14
The mouse definitely works cause I have a cursor but, the wheel and and buttons don't do anything except "tap" the screen?
