Hello guys. Im new to the game. Have gone through most of the challenges except Satellite Rendezvous and Docking. I experience a problem where on getting near the target craft when target craft gets in sight, the nav sphere heading just goes haywire spinning out of control making getting closer really difficult. Have watched videos and tried following instructions and I do get close but as soon as the target is visible, this occurs. When the target is out of sight, the navsphere heading locks do not misbehave. I dont know if anyone else is experiencing this as well. Im on version 0.94.

@NEWFRONTIERSEXPLORATION2 - if you can upload it, i can give it a try and see if the same thing happens...im not sure what else it could be?

@SmurfResearchX Yes I have redesigned the docking craft twice or thrice.

@NEWFRONTIERSEXPLORATION2 - hmmm, i havent seen that happen before - have you tried different crafts?
-
@SmurfResearchX I would have done all as advised still spins out of control. Relative velocity might be as low as below 10m/s still that happens.

the approach to the target might be too fast if your craft is spinning out of control (with the heading locked on target) - if you tap on the velocity readout, it should cycle between "orbit velocity", "surface velocity", and "target velocity" - set it to "target velocity" and make an adjustment burn to get the velocity relative to the target as low as possible(10-20m/s), when you are 1-5km away...then you should be able to use rcs for the final adjustments to dock

@BrandtSpaceINC Thanks. Do you experience what I have just described above?
Hello guys. Finally managed to dock. Just kept the target out of sight and did so without really relying much on locked heading. Quite tiresome in that way but its really satisfying because of the hard work.
Im guessing the problem is my equipment, I'm playing the game on a 10 year old laptop so it's quite slow at times.
Hopefully, funds permitting, I will be able to upgrade later on.
Thank you all for your help.
