There should be a demo version of SR2 that gives a free version of the game, with limited parts and planets. then if you want, you can buy the actual game if you find the demo version fun. This might entice players to join, especially from mobile. When I was thinking about getting the game, I honestly was turned away from the cost, even though it was on mobile. Then I just bought it cause it seemed like the perfect game for me, and I was right. This might have been helpful for me, so I would have been able to see if I enjoyed the game or not.

@SNSA That already happens though.
One thing that's bothered me is how r/simplerockets is nearly 4.5 years older than r/spaceflightsimulator but SFS has almost 3 times as many subscribers. SFS DC has 26K users but SRC only has 1K. And I always thought the paying upfront was the issue.
Before 1.5 SFS was like 4 bucks. Now it's 8 bucks, like 50% more expensive than SR2 which is ridiculous IMHO, and it's still growing like crazy. If SR had the same business model, I believe it'd probably be a lot more popular.
I'm not trying to bash SFS, I play both SFS and SR2, but SR2 is miles ahead while also being cheaper.

Interesting idea. Things that could be nerfed to entice people to get the full version:
- One sandbox only
- Default solar system only
- Saved craft limit
- Crafts in flight limit
- No upload/share capability
- No mods
I think letting people try before they buy makes a lot of sense since it is a bummer to spend money on a game only to find out that your system or device can't really handle it.

That said, this would take some development resources, so until we get to full functionality (planet studio and campaign mode), I think this should be back burner.

Yes demo version will encourage players to buy the game and it can contain ads which will be in favour of jundroo tm to make more big updates
