I bought the iPad version of the game yesterday and started playing it. After a couple of hours I got stuck, and so I'd like to share my views on the game, because I think that they may be useful to the product team in order to direct newbies to avoid them getting stuck like I am.

"Menu -> New Game"

I understood this as the place to come when I wanted to start a game. I didn't realize that I was already in a game. At least it looks like I was, because I've touched the top of the screen and filled something in reply to "Enter Company Name", and now when I go to "Load Game", I see that as one of the listed games.

"Game Type: Sandbox"

In "Load Game" I see that my games are of the "Sandbox" type. I don't know what different types there are, what do the mean, and how to set them. When I created a new game I didn't have to choose the type.

"Company Funds: N/A"

I imagine this means that I will, in some game type, have to manage a limited budget, but there's no clue as to how and when.

"Crafts in Flight: 18"

This means that somewhere, somehow, I have 18 crafts flying. I don't understand what this means, as I simply left what I was doing to do something else. I then noticed that there was a "Resume Flight" on the bottom left of the main screen. By taping it, a list appears. Some of the entries say "Not Resumable" (then why are they here?), and others take me back to where I was. I don't know what I did to get the flights on the "Resume Flight" list.

"Play" button

I pressed the "Play" button to get to the "Play" area. The "Design Tutorial" and the "Flight Tutorial" are very well done. "Launch Craft" ok, "Build Craft" ok, "Maximum thrust" ok, "100km Altitude" ok, "Low Flyer" ok, "Optimum Trajectory" ok (it took me a while...). When I got to "Low Orbit", things became too hard for me. I was trying to do things for which I didn't have know-how and there were no tutorials or help. I have no idea how to "Escape Droo", get to "Luna Orbit", etc.

Hundreds of options - how do I learn about them?

The game has all kinds of options available on the right menu, but it's not clear how I can learn about them.

Why "Droo", "Luna"?

Are the names "Earth" and "Moon" under copyright?

Overall opinion

This game seems to have a lot of potential, and I see there's a vibrant community of players building all kinds of crafts and doing all kinds of missions. However, as a newbie it is very easy to get lost and have no idea where to go next. This would be a great way for children to get interested in space exploration, but it's not clear how one proceeds to master it. I just want to escape "Droo" and go to "Luna"; how can I learn how to do it?

I hope that this feedback can be useful to the product team.

me personally i have played rocket games before so it was a breeze for me, but you need a rocket with enough fuel, (i just xml the hell out of the fuel lol) to go to luna, you must reach a trajectory with it, i just go right towards it, but if you dont have the fuel, just look for the arrow and planet after you target, it helps you get a trajecory to the planet, and the maneuvering nodes can be helpful too, (this can be used for all planets and moons) and to leave droo soi, just keep burning until the orbit line goes straight (no circles or ovals...) and then warp because otherwise your gonna wait a loooooooooooooooooooong time

jundroo is going to add a career mode in the future of SR2, no one knows when that will happen (except the devs of course) but for now we only have a sandbox mode

@pvc0001 no, they wanted a small change from the actual solar system so they named them something diffrent, if you want the real names you would find them in RTSS or RSS and i would recommend RTSS for a good pc and RSS for a phone...

To clarify about the “non-resumable crafts” these are random space junk pieces that you must have left somewhere sometime during a launch or mission. The reason you cannot resume them is because they do not have any astronauts, Command chips or command pods. Without these parts you cannot interact with anything so the game simply doesn’t allow you to view these. (There is a clean up space junk option and it removes all of these)- although I forgot where it is

The reason why Droo and Luna are called those names is simply to differentiate the celestial bodies from earth and the moon as they have completely different topography compared to their counterparts. In other words, they are completely different worlds.

I think watching tutorials in YouTube is a great way to improve your game. When I installed for first-time I too don't know what's going on, later by watching those vids I came upto here
