1. Find some way to get a Drood stranded somewhere on Droo’s solid ground.
  2. Take off in another plane, doesn’t need to be manned. Target the Drood.
  3. Fly said plane to the site of the Drood. Get within 200-400 meters of the Drood, then pull up to 15-30° of pitch.
  4. Pause game. Switch to Drood, and use the tether to grapple onto the bottom of the jet plane.
  5. WTF??? (Fulton Extraction)
  6. Switch to the plane,Return to the base, then pitch to 45° before switching to the Drood and releasing the tether. The Drood will fall to the ground, and the plane, due to being pitched high, will not crash to the ground.
  7. Drood rescue complete. You may land the plane.

No, from the surface. If you set the jet pack power to max in game, it works. I made a video not too long ago but I think I deleted it @TopSecret2

@MansBestFriend From where? Orbit? Because the stock Drood does not have enough TWR to leave the surface of Droo.

Yeah. I once made it to the moon in RSS just using only stock drood and a 1x1x1 fuel tank. No mode or anything. @TopSecret2

@MansBestFriend That’s one way. You’d need a rocket to do that though for longer ranges.

Yeah lol. But honestly all I would do is do some sort of ballistic trajectory, and send it out of the atmosphere. Droods are basically invincible so it’s not problem @TopSecret2

Speaking of WTF, the Drood I tested this with was William Theodore Friendly.

@MansBestFriend I mean you’d technically want to do that for efficiency. But spending an hour trying to bounce a Drood by pushing up on both joystick controls to accelerate the Drood after jumping doesn’t sound nearly as fun as giving them a joyride behind a plane.

You know what I would do? Fly a small plane low to the ground, and drop a small 1x1x1 fuel tank with no fuel or anything next to the Drood. After that, do whatever you want to the plane, and switch to the Drood. Attack tether to the 1x1x1 fuel tank and you infinite drood fuel

Also, see the photos on my latest craft post,
(0.9.5) New plane Done Better!, and upvote if you like it. Not fishing for upvotes but figured using the plane I already made to demonstrate the most Bond thing since.. James Bond.
