I was building a plane on this game and it was about the same size as this plane and I was almost done with it but I went to do something so I closed out of the app and then when I went to go back on, there was just a black screen, nothing was loading, and the music was playing (but I don’t use the music in the game which is weird) so my only other option was to delete and re-download SimpleRockets 2 and loose all my progress. This wasn’t the first time it happened to me, it happened many times but I didn’t mind because I wasn’t working on anything so I had nothing to lose.

I had something similar happen twice. The first time I deleted the app from my iPad and reinstalled it, I lost everything. When it happened again, I chose a different tactic: I plugged it into my Mac and browsed to the SR2 folder. Inside I renamed the "applicationstate.xml" file but didn't create a new one. I was going under the assumption SR2 would create a new, fresh applicationstate.xml file... which it did. I launched SR2, it booted up correctly and I hadn't lost a thing. The only reason I tried this method is because I performed the same procedure on my Mac when something went wrong at it stayed stuck at the black "Loading..." screen.
Perhaps this might help you out... -

@Arstotzka @spenzeroInternational this happens when the game state gets deleted. It is possible to fix it if you can XML edit. But you can also copy all of the files including the editor crafts and saved crafts, programs, inflight crafts, and literally every file.
Me too...
