Max-Q is almost finished with our new small launcher named Compatriot I. Designed as a speed launcher; simple enough to cost little, and provide for fast construction times. As well as speed, the size makes the vehicle simple and easy to transport.
Originally, the Compatriot vehicle went under the name "Angroboda". However, that launcher was plagued with issues, and proved to be both underpowered and inefficient. After a series of changes to the boosters, first and second stage engines, and a complete refresh of 95% of the second stage, the compatriot rocket is almost ready to make its debut.
Standing at 30.3 meters high, the Compatriot is a relatively small launcher. But don't let that fool you, it does not sacrifice payload capacity for size.
