The SN8 today used three engines for the first time ever on a hop. It got all the way to 12.5 km and successfully reached its targeted apogee. After successfully using aerodynamic control surfaces it guided itself to the landing pad and flipped over using the engine gimbal and engine reignition was a success. It looked like it was going to work and after it touched the ground it stopped for a split second (in which I started celebrating heavily). But then, the clouds started to turn orange and gather and the rocket exploded. All that remains is a nose cone.
Congratulations to the SpaceX team and everyone who helped make SN8 a reality. Sorry it blew up your tent!
