@WestSpaceAgency The link has a 24hr limit, did not expect it to be disabled in just 8 hours' time. It is back up.
Is this cloud cheap and low quality? Because i see "temu"
@Tristxan I have made a forum post tutorial: https://www.simplerockets.com/Forums/View/295843/Temu-Clouds-RSS I don't know if I can submit links in these comments, but if not, then go to the forums on this site and select newest post and mine will be one of them.
@Luc3s can you please go in depth, or post pictures as examples bc I’m having a hard time
@hosain You go to your files, find the planet you want to add this mod’s support to in the folder CelestialDatabase, open it in notepad or whatever, and change the name”Earth” to name”Droo”. This won’t mess up anything, as far as I’ve tested it, and will make Earth look 10000x better (It looks better on Earth than on Droo.)
@Blazeruga Yeah, CelestialDatabase.
@Luc3s which File do you edit to add the clouds to Earth? is it CelestialDatabase or a different one?
@hosain ?
@Luc3s Never mind, I figured it out. You go to your files, find the planet you want to add this mod’s support to, open it in notepad or whatever, and change the name”Earth” to name”Droo”. This won’t mess up anything, as far as I’ve tested it, and will make Earth look 10000x better (It looks better on Earth than on Droo.)
how do i run this mod on RSS Hyperpatch juno new origins ?
thanks for this mod
Does anyone have any idea how to get this to work in Hyperpatch's RSS? I know it is possible because in Flaffles's latest video, this mod works in rss.
@Kaeya the noise is hardcoded, hence the large file size, no plans currently. Although probably a good idea if i do return to allow an input in a menu to a folder
Interesting!
Is there any future prospect of adding this to custom planets, with tools allowing custom noise maps?
this is the last hope for me to play this game. I'm eager to test this mode. thanks for this awesome mode.
Perfect job! It works well on Droo, but it would be even better if it could be used in RSS
One of the mods of all time
i hope real clouds would be released
It's sad that this effect can't be achieved on mobile devices. This alone was enough to achieve perfection in the game.
Will you ever make it so the clouds movement go faster when timewarping faster?
Great mod but I hope this will work on RSS Earth in the future, not only on Droo
Please can you provide a download link on the Github platform, I can't get it using Dropbox, I like this mod so much
This mod is really great- this is the kind of stuff that the game really needs to feel polished. I do have a few suggestions. #1 keep the clouds loaded no matter the distance away and then find a way to remove the basic cubemap clouds so they dont come in at the farther distance. This would look a lot better than a transition between the two and the temu clouds look better at any distance than the cubemap clouds in my opinion haha. I also think it would be cool to add a second layer of these 2 d clouds, perhaps 20km apart from each other to give more depth. The layers could move at different speeds aswell.
It is so cool!
And is it possible to grid the planet and adjust the noise generation algorithm based on the land, dimension, and water area within the region to generate more realistic clouds?
