The Real Solar System_v1.2

This is not the latest version. Do you need to update the new version.

·Is the Juno System too simple?
·Do you want to try a more challenging of the solar system?
·This mod may satisfied your needs!
·It has 30 planets, and 25 of them can be landed.
·In here, whether it is Earth, Moon, Mars or Jupiter, they have the same size, gravity and orbit as the real solar system.
·As we all know, the radius of the Droo is only 1274km, while the radius of the real Earth is 6371km, which means that you need more fuel to get into the orbit of Earth.
·Landing on the moon is not so easy, because the inclination of the Moon orbit with Earth has 5.145°,you need a lot of delta v to coincide with this orbital plane.
·So it is very difficult to travel in the solar system, but this doesn't hinder our exploration journey!
·Our goal is to conquer the universe!
·As long as you have enough confidence, you will be able to conquer the entire universe!
·If you can't wait to enter the solar system, there is the download link and method of use.

Installation method

1.Click the download button. You will jump to the game interface and click OK to download.
2.Create a new game and select the RSS.
(The first loading of the game may be slow, please be patient)

New edition change

1.Six new celestial bodies have been added:

Pluto,Charon,Halley,Iapetus,Ariel and Triton.

2.Add launch time:

1.Voyager 2(1977.8.20)
2.New Horizons(2006.1.19)

3.Optimization and modification:

1.Earth's atmospheric density is modified from 0.5 to 1.15
2.The physical parameters and orbital parameters of celestial bodies are restored more accurately
3.The inclination of lunar orbit is modified to 5.145°
4.Venus now has a more complex terrain, the atmospheric density is modified to 8.1, and the atmospheric environment will be more realistic
5.The appearance and topography of Europa and Ganymede have been modified
6.Vesta's terrain has been modified to be extremely complex (like durian) (which may not be true, but it is interesting)
7.Remake a new Saturn model(The previous model was made by NoName101)
8.The appearance of Titan has been slightly modified
9.Neptune's appearance becomes more realistic and not as monotonous as before
10.I tried to fix the bug that the launch site disappeared abnormally (There may be repairs)

Frequently asked questions

Q:Why didn't it work when I installed the RSS?
A:1.Check your game version,2.Check if you have created a new game.3.Try to download again.
Q:Which versions does it apply to?
A:It supports the latest version of 0.9.404.I also tested that 0.9.306, 0.9.307 and 0.9.403 can use it normally.I didn't test the other versions, so I'm not sure.
Q:Why doesn't the planet have real terrain?
A:Because it is very difficult to restore the real terrain, at the moment I only try to restore the scale and gravity of the solar system and so on.
Q:I don't know how much dv it would take to get into the orbit, to land on the moon, to land on Mars, and so on.
A:There is the DV Picture(For reference only, subject to practice)
Q:When will you update the next version?
A:Because of my studies, I don't know much about this.
Q:What if I want to launch a rocket directly on another planets?
A:You can download the sandbox, which gives you more launch locations.

Rockets

If you don't want to make Rocket in RSS.
You can download these rockets.
Low Orbit Satellite
Lunar lander(Unable to return)
to the moon and back

Other Information

·1. At present, this mod only restores the true orbits, true scales, etc. of some planets, but it hasn't true terrain, because making it is very difficult, and I cannot finished it by myself. I will try my best to pursue a higher degree of restoration and update more planets in subsequent versions.Fortunately, @pedro16797 is working hard to make RSS with real terrain. If you are interested in this, you can pay attention to his work. I will continue to make my own version of RSS until he released his real terrain RSS.
·2.About other people's planet models used in my RSS:
(I took the following planet model as a template and made some changes)
1.SergejGrauberger's moho.
2.Several planets from ESS
I am very grateful to these masters who make planet models!

Hey I have a question, I’m currently in the process of creating a auto orbit to GEO with vizzy, so far the gravity turn calculates the pitch of velocity and the heading is set to target an inclination. But in this game is the day length of the earth set to exactly 24 hours, or is it set to the real life value of a little bit less?

@SquReal How do you make the atmosphere cover the surface of the planet, that is, make it invisible when it is outside the atmosphere(Just like the Venus you made for me)

@Doughnut2001 Thank you for your advice. You are right, because this game doesn't support modifying the atmospheric altitude, but changes the atmospheric altitude by modifying the relative molecular mass of the atmosphere. However, after changing this, I found many problems, but I have been thinking about solving these problems without reducing the atmospheric altitude, such as high sound speed, wrong air pressure, etc., but it has not been solved. I have also considered reducing the atmospheric altitude as you said, but I have never decided whether I should do this. I think I will take your opinion and I will fix it in next version.Thank you

@KrAu i dont think you get what i mean.
the blue hue that the troposphere has starts declining once you get to a height of 20 kilometers ASL, (Above sea level) the stratosphere begins at 20 km and stops at about50 if i'm not wrong, the blue hue is completely gone by the time you reach the mesosphere which is between 50Km and 85Km.
Meteorites and spacecraft burn while in the mesosphere, not higher nor lower.
Meaning that if you want to get better results you should lower the atmosphere down to the end of the mesosphere, since i don't believe simplerockets can simulate the rest of the atmosphere.
There are more layers but the effect of the Thermosphere in orbiting spacecraft which are right after the mesosphere is low to none, that's where the ISS is.
I want this solar system to aim for realism since right now it looks like drool was only scaled up, not taking anything else into consideration.

@Doughnut2001 But what I still want to know is that you said The middle layer and the place where the visible atmosphere stops refer to what you see in the game or what you know in reality. If it is in the game, it may be because I didn't make a very good adjustment to the atmospheric display, which led to the lower position. Maybe I should improve it

@Doughnut2001 I see, but I don't want the atmosphere to become so low. I chose 140km as the atmosphere height because the atmosphere height is also 140km in ksp rss, because there are many ksp players among sr2 players, and some things make it the same as ksp so that players can adapt to two game. In reality, the atmosphere has no obvious boundaries.Just as the location of the International Space Station will be affected by the atmosphere

    4.3 years ago
  • Profile image

@KrAu the atmosphere is way too big, it shouldn't be 140km, it should be 85 since that's where the mesosphere and the visible atmosphere stops

@Doughnut2001 Thank you,But I'm sorry, maybe I don't quite understand what you said. Could you describe your problems in more simple words?
