Imagine going the opposing direction and smacking into Luna.

@TopSecret2 your right...we just don't have enough data and barometric data other than comparison to our own moon cycle and how it effects our season yr to yr... But in most probability that if there where a habitable planet with a moon or two that it would mainly depend on how fast or how strong the pull of the other is..more moons in my opinion would cause much much more chaotic seasons with many many more geological stress..course any living thing that is surviving would have to be more efficient in adapting meaning their revolutionary periods are only things we can dream of until we find more data....

@CPSU3417 dang you beat me to it...kinda wish the devs would Luna season purpose to the geology so we could see tidal and seasons change..it seems the only geological change were getting are ice caps at the poles of some of the celestial hahaha..

Omgs..could you imagine the freezing .tidal wave producing on one drop day with Luna so close..a planet that close would make a tidal surge that would flood all land mass every half day ...lol...not to mention night time would be so cold it would snap anything standing in half because the wind alone from the passing Luna hahah then during the daylight time it would be so hot .and fully flooded ..I see nothing but chaos here hahahaha...

It's a silly system just for fun, for someone's request. You really can't do anything with it except exploring imaginary orbital mechanics that's unreal :) -

Unfortunately, you can't look up at the moon. The switch between the droo orbit and Luna's orbit was just a bit of a stuck, as if it had fallen into a wormhole, and the two seemed to be just swapping positions

@Mikel8 except three orbital bodies can orbit each over; the issue is we don’t know how to predict their behavior over a long time span due to the inherent instability and chaotic behavior. There are some stable orbits with bigger objects like stars and a smaller object in a distant orbit, but it’s still complicated.

@TopSecret2 aaaaaàaaand..... simplerockets rocket 2 is using conics orbitals plans, it work verry good but ... in real life like you said planets don't have "Sphère of influence of gravity " but if a system is not a close and trinary, the game can create a good alternative.

@TopSecret2 hello top secret 2 you're right, 3 equivalent mass objects can't orbit around, but look at the solar system, ( i know you speak about trinary sistems but...) planets doesn't collide each other because they have a perfect mass to control the other planets like Jupiter, it can deorbit us after few hundreds of years, and venus to , but , because she is in a lower orbit for us she prevent the attraction off Jupiter.
You see ? 😜 -

@crowxe Honestly no one truly knows how real world orbital mechanics works but the closest form we know of for certain is n-body orbital mechanics, for 3-body mechanics causes an error to occur after a certain amount of time, where 3 equivalent masses objects will never orbit around each over in the exact same way over a period of time.

@TopSecret2 I'm not sure how it works in the real world but in planet studio, there's no limit except the SOI extending below the parent surface
-

For Luna it’s about 6,000km, and because this game relies on 2-body orbital mechanics, this would wind up changing to Luna’s SOI as soon as its gravity gets stronger.

@Gozinya it wasn't allowed when i tried to upload it from the planet studio, i had Luna SOI suck everything off the ground beneath it because it was extending deep in droo by few 100s Km. So this one is barely grazing Droo's atmosphere..hence the "flying is prohibited" statement :)
