Thanks for the encouragement. I have an idea to create a small-scale “puppet” version of a walker that looks more realistic. I love how this game allows us to be creative and logical at the same time. -

@Gozinya we had moving robots for long time but it took all that time before scientists could make it walk on legs and feet like human beings, it's not that we lacked the the technology of moving those parts, but it's the sensors and the programming and processing speed that we lacked and they even still look funny when they walk. What I wanna say, it would take a scientist to make a walking vizzy program, that should never stop you from trying but just to be easy on yourself whenever it fails. Even Tars is amazing job because it exactly depicts what I saw in the movie. Keep it going man, take brakes but never stop

Thanks! It’s a little too simple to use on anything but TARS, but I can’t figure out how to make a real walking mech. -

@Zyvx
Excellent! Any tips would be much appreciated. The math is really complex to manage the center of mass. -

@Gozinya I did several walking mechs in Simple Planes, I might have to try my latest technique on SR2 for mech makers to use. After I finish my current project, its a big project.

Well I’m super lazy so I am never ambitious enough to build anything. But one day I’ll start posting stuff. @Gozinya

Yeah I'm working toward a fully functional mech, but that is a long ways off. Do you know of any other crafts/players that have tackled walking? It's much more difficult than I expected. -

@Fazberon yes this is my first successful attempt. I've tried to create full mech walkers before and failed every time. This is a much simpler walking pattern.

@Gozinya By the way, the Interstellar movie is gorgeous. And by the way, is this an attempt to create a working robot?
This is my first take on a TARS concept (from Interstellar). Walking in a straight line works great. Next steps: turn it into Legos, refine some code, and post it!
