Here we finally are folks! after a few months i finally got around to upgrading this, and let me assure you, there are plenty of upgrades for you to enjoy.
Some of the upgrades include:
- Non legacy parachutes*
- Detachable heatshield*
- Airbrakes*
- RCS positions and amount*
- New side mounted thrusters for ascent*

Anyway im sure you've gotten bored reading this, so ill hurry and tell you how to fly already
remember that this is a lander, so youll need to create your own ascent stage, or perhaps use inspiration as a payload.
Atmospheric planets and moons have different landing procedures!
Once your'e on course with your target planet, you can deploy the airbrakes and go through reentry, after that, arm the parachutes (AG2) if youre on a planet with a thin or thick atmosphere you can skip the parachute part. After that, you'll need to activate the next stage which will detach the heatshield, if you're in a planet with an atmosphere similar to Droo or Earth, then you need to deploy the parachutes first or else it will slam back into the craft, likely causing some damage. The parachutes might snap on some planets, at which point you will need to activate the landing engines (AG11 or the next stage) engines are required for landing regardless of if parachutes have been deployed or not
The only difference between reentry and moon landings is airbrakes are not needed and you can jettison the heatshield whenever you want

I love this thing really cool but I would like if the lander could have a rocket part (I’m bad at building)
@NeonSpaceAgency consider yourself in luck, the next version of inspiration (likely 3.0) will feature a new abort sequence and a landing script, among plenty of other new features

I’m working on a mats entry, aero brake and landing vizzy currently. Seems though, after beta updates that my suicide burn math needs to be rewritten for the new attributes. You did great though with the landing gear, takes a good firm landing and don’t spring back up

@jesse1233454 I'd recommend going into your settings and disabling heat damage, as thats likely whats causing you issues, are you following the reentry procedures I wrote down?
When I enter the atmosphere it just explodes
